LaChanze, Lenox, Cooper, Braxton and others raise $3,500 to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS via Summers’ ‘Just A Piano,’ 10th Anniversary Concert.

 

Emmy-nominee Tituss Burgess joins cast for  Just A Piano BC/EFA Benefit Concert on 10/10/2016

Emmy-nominee Tituss Burgess (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) has been added to the starry lineup for Just A Piano Benefit Concert for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS on Monday, 10/10 at 9pm at The Triad (158 West 72nd Street). This year the Just A Piano Series is celebrating its 10th Anniversary with ten incredible Broadway Performers, representing each year. Joining Burgess will be Broadway veteran Adrian Bailey, Darius de HaasAmber Iman & previously announced Tony Award-winners Adriane Lenox, LaChanze & Chuck Cooper, Tony Nominee Brenda BraxtonShelton Becton and “Mighty Real” star Anthony Wayne – all under the musical direction of Timothy Graphenreed and guest pianist, Michael O. Mitchell. This event will be a celebration of ten years of service to the community at the historic Triad Theatre through a series of Just A Piano concerts, which have often been a call to action from the Broadway community to support various causes.

Founded by Lee Summers, during ten years of Just A Piano concerts, the series has served as a platform to benefit social causes, such as Hurricane Sandy victims & the Bush/Clinton Fund for Haitian Earthquake relief, The Neighborhood Housing Services of New York, the American Red Cross, MusiCares, The Actors Fund and more.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is the philanthropic heart of Broadway, helping people across the country and across the street receive lifesaving medications, health care, nutritious meals, counseling and emergency financial assistance.
